A construction worker was seriously injured after he was knocked off the top of a house in Milton.
It happened shortly before 2 p.m. at a home under construction near Louis St. Laurent Blvd. and Hamman Way.
Police say the 55-year-old man was struck by a load of construction materials being hoisted by a crane to the second storey of the home.
The man fell roughly 16 feet to the ground and was unconscious when police arrived.
He was rushed to Hamilton General hospital with serious injuries.
The Ministry of Labour was called in and has taken over the investigation.
