A 34-year-old Oakville man is in critical condition following a three-vehicle collision in Milton.
Police say a Dodge Caliber rear-ended a Honda Civic that was stopped on Regional Rd. 25.
The impact forced the Civic across the centre line and into the path of a van, which resulted in the Civic spinning off the roadway and into a ditch.
The driver of the Dodge received minor injuries and was taken to hospital. The driver of the van, a 52-year-old Toronto man, and his passengers were not hurt.
Regional Rd. 25 was closed in both directions for roughly four hours while the Collision Reconstruction Unit investigated.
Police say although it was snowing at the time of the crash, they do not believe weather was a contributing factor in the crash. They also believe impairment is not a factor.
Halton police are asking any witnesses to contact Det. Cst. Chris Heffernan at 905-825-4747, ext. 5420.
