The province says the eligibility to receive a COVID-19 vaccine will expand the week of May 10th to include people with “at-risk” health conditions, people who cannot work from home (Group 2), and people 40 and older.
Starting Tuesday May 11 at 8 a.m, people with “at-risk” health conditions such as immune deficiencies, cancer, diabetes, and asthma will be able to book an appointment either through the provincial portal or their region’s website.
Also Tuesday morning, people in Group 2 who cannot work from home including those who work in essential retail, courts and banks can book. Social workers, veterinarians and miners are also apart of the list that can be found here.
Thursday May 13 at 8 a.m, people turning 40 in 2021 and older in non-hot spot communities can book a vaccine appointment at a mass immunization clinic.
Halton Region has expanded its’ vaccination program to allow residents 16 and older who cannot work from home to book an appointment through the regions online portal.
Halton residents 50 and older living in non-hot spot communities can also book.
Wednesday May 12 eligibility opens to those 40 and older, Friday May 14 to those 30 and older, and by next week all Halton adults over the age of 16 will be eligible to book an appointment.

Halton region says they are following provincial criteria for expanding eligibility based on who is most at risk, but they have enough supply to do it early.
There are several pilot clinics across the province vaccinating residents 18 and older. Four pharmacies in Hamilton are approved to administer Moderna. Each location will receive about 150 shots a week.
Adults 40 and older can still book an AstraZeneca vaccine at a participating pharmacy.
All booking availability will depend on supply.
