A Mississauga man is facing charges after he allegedly exploited a woman for “sexual purposes.”
The Halton Regional Police Service Human Trafficking Unit launched an investigation after the alleged victim came forward to police.
Muhammad Auklakh, 27, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with exercise control, receiving material benefit from sexual services, trafficking in persons, receiving material benefit resulting from trafficking in persons, and advertising sexual services.
Auklakh is currently being held for a bail hearing.
